The purpose of the Geauga YMCA Otters Swim Team is to serve the youth of our area through a competitive swim program.  Our coaches provide a positive, supportive, and FUN environment where each swimmer can excel at their own rate by setting goals for themselves and the team in general.  Swimmers learn how to excel individually and how to work with a team. Our season starts in late September and runs through the last Championship meet the swimmer qualifies.  The last Championship meet occurs in March. WE TRY NOT TO TURN ANYONE AWAY!  WE WILL WORK with your swimmer but they have to be able to at least swim a couple laps freestyle(crawl) without stopping. Tryouts help us determine which level they should enroll in.

Team Handbook and Membership Forms

Everyone must read the team hand book.  By registering for the team you acknowledge that you have read the team handbook.  All swimmers will be held accountable for the information in the handbook.

The medical form must be completed and returned to the YMCA front Desk before the swimmer enters the water on the first day of practice. Consider printing out the Medical and Fee forms before you come to the YMCA.  That will speed up your registration process.
